A hard spice aroma leads the charge, and while the nose is tough and closed, it harbors a solid black-fruit element. Jammy, thick and chunky on the palate, this has equally jammy flavors of blackberry and herb. It remains chewy and rich on the finish, with a molasses flavor. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Carmenère form the blend.
