This is rich and complex, with the balanced elegance of a big Napa Cabernet, but retaining Zin's briary, brambly character. With its softly tannic texture, the flavors shine, ranging from ripe summer blackberry and blueberry to plum sauce, licorice and mocha. Brightened by zesty acidity, this has a dry, spicy finish. It easily handles its high alcohol level.
