Unlike any other Merlots in the region, this fascinating low-alcohol tribute to a northern Italian style shows oregano, thyme, parsley, rainbow peppercorns, dried purple flowers and a seductive hint of green pepper on the elegantly layered nose. The flavors reflects the nuanced nose, with crushed peppers, just-ripe blackberry, iodine and a touch of greenness.
