Surprisingly full bodied and rich for a wine at this price, the 2007 Catapult is at the same time savory in style, with notes of dry cedar, roasted meat, black olive, cracked pepper and fine espresso. Finishes long, with velvety tannins. Best with herbed lamb, simply grilled or roasted. Drink now–2020. || Pretty ripe stuff, featuring aromas of brandied fruitcake to go along with its 14.5% alcohol. Plenty of spice, vanilla and toasty oak frames the blackberry fruit, finishing with a touch of coffee. Drink now–2012. …
