Unlike most Côtes du Rhônes, this one is based on Syrah, with only a small proportion of Grenache used in the blend. The result is a slightly less weighty, spicier wine than typical for the appellation, but one that remains round on the palate, with cherries and silky tannins lingering on the finish.
