There's a funky, leathery taste in this single-vineyard Pinot that calls to mind beef jerky, but there's also plenty of red plum and cherry fruit, so the funk is just one element. The finish is dry, and the wine is tannic enough to suggest a good 4 to 6 years of useful life. || While this unoaked white wine is dry and crisp in acidity, it's heavy in fruit. Weighs down the mouth with superripe apricot, peach, honeysuckle and vanilla flavors that are so forward and obvious, they rob the wine of delicacy and finesse. …
