A lean, high acid wine that has a dry edge to it. It does have of red fruit flavors but for a basic red Burgundy there is too much structure, not enough ripeness. || Soft Chardonnay, nicely balanced between ripe white fruits and some toast. It is an open, generous wine, enjoyable and ready to drink. || Rodet's basic red Burgundy draws on fruit from the firm's local Mercurey region, giving the wine a warmth and softness.
