This is the third year McCrea has made an Elerding Chardonnay, fermented on wild yeasts in stainless tanks, then aged sur lie in fairly neutral oak. Complex, textured and loaded with banana and butterscotch flavors, it's a rich wine that retains enough elegance to go down easily with food.
