Morandé's top Chardonnay is a single-vineyard offering from the oldest vineyard in Casablanca Valley, and is aged in French oak. Hearty buttery aromas give way to some mineral and banana notes underneath; toasty apple flavors in a rich, full mouthfeel are thankfully devoid of cloying creaminess. Oak is good, but still overshadows the fruit.
