This impressive offering is drawn from the cooperative's own domaine. It's full bodied and firm, with a chewy finish that demands cellaring, but the complex aromas and flavors of cedar, cassis, roasted meat, licorice and cracked peppercorns are compelling even now. || Lacks the haunting fragrance of the best Hermitage wines, but shows plenty of concentrated dark fruit and toasty oak.
