The vineyard was planted in 2002 and the fruit shows young exuberance, to judge by the purity of raspberry, strawberry and persimmon fruit, accented with oak. The excellent 2012 vintage brings a superb balance of acidity, and while there's some heat from alcohol, it's nothing that a superb steak can't handle. Give the wine until 2020 to let all the parts integrate and mellow.
