This bottling from fine winery Foxen has varied over the vintages, sometimes quite good, sometimes ordinary. The '11 is somewhere in the middle. It's a bit thin, with the blackberry, coffee and currant flavors disappearing quickly on the finish. It's also oddly acidic, whether naturally so or added. Either way, it's not an ager.
