Aged in 60-gallon barriques crafted by the Piemontese cooper Gamba, this has oak-influenced notes of cherry, strawberry preserves, pastis, nutmeg and leather. Medium to full bodied, this wine feels round on entrance, with its tannins and acids picking up steam as it progresses across the palate. The long, tangy finish tastes of bloody meat.
