Opaque purple to the eye, which portends the wine's dark, meaty, jammy aromas of black fruit and leather. The palate is chewy and syrupy in feel, with massive but basic blackberry, toast and peppery flavors. Big and hot on the finish, with size but suspect balance. 67% Tempranillo and 33% Shiraz.
