Smooth and powerful on the nose, with oak-based aromas and clean berry fruit. There's elegance as well as richness to the deep berry, chocolate and vanilla flavors. Finishes with toffee and coffee, but it's not particularly woody even if it is fairly oaky. A decidedly modern and international type of wine. Drink now through 2013.
