This barrel-aged wine just isn't showing well. The nose is all nettles and field weeds; there isn't much fruit and hardly any pungency. The palate is soft and lays around lazily as it offers foxy lemon, banana and oak flavors. Only 250 cases made. || This small-production Pinot is dark in color, with warm berry and cherry aromas. However, it feels resiny and heavy in the mouth, with hickory-driven oak leading baked berry flavors to a drying, all-oak finish. Overly toasted and heavy, it lacks Pinot Noir elegance. ||…
