This wine by the family-owned winery on Highway 46 East—now home to a large amphitheater for rock concerts—shows aromas of oak smoke, squeezed blackberries and a just barely noticeable hint of camphor. It's evenly spiced on the palate, like a well seasoned beef roast, with dried Italian herbs giving complexity to black cherries, blueberries and coffee notes.
