Not your typical New Zealand Chardonnay, this wine starts off with an odd, feral note, then shows lean and minerally on the palate, with subtle apple and peach fruit and a crisp finish. Aged in large oak puncheons. Imported by American Estates Wines, Inc. || A bit heavy for Riesling, with pretty pear and peach aromas but a broad, soft mouthfeel and a touch of bitterness on the finish.
