Strapping aromas of blackberry and licorice are fiery and grating. This Syrah-led blend from a hot vintage is mighty tannic, so much so that it collapses under tannic weight. Flavors of blackberry, prune and cherry are spicy, while this tastes rooty and warm on the finish. Drink through 2019.
