This is very nice varietal Bonarda. The nose is generic but floral, ripe and full of lifted blackberry and cassis aromas. A rubbery, agile palate carries dark, toasty flavors of blackberry, cassis and chocolate, then a peppery-tasting, toasty finish that manages to not be hot or fierce, which is a plus for this grape.
