Hailing from vines planted in 1918 when the Los Angeles area was the state's top vineyard zone, this bottling shows elegant blackberry meringue, lavender chiffon and hedonistic fudge on the nose. Purple flowers also show on the palate, as do Earl Grey tea, plum rinds and black-pepper notes.
