Stewed plum, freshly chopped meat, oregano and fennel serve as attention-grabbing aromas on this inky wine from Paso Robles' Westside. On the palate, the tannins are nicely even and smooth, and the herbal notes tend to overpower the tart cranberry fruit. It's very pleasant, if not quite completely full on the midpalate and finish.
