Here is a lovely expression of Merlot from the up-and-coming Montescudaio zone, which is located on the Tuscan coast just north of Bolgheri. The wine shows immense softness, and it has a huge cherry flavor that has been shaped by spice and chocolate accents from 18 months in barrel.
