This firmly structured, velvety red opens with aromas of black currant, French oak, menthol, Asian spice and a whiff of grilled herb. The full-bodied, elegant palate doles out crushed blackberry, succulent morello cherry, licorice and tobacco alongside a backbone of taut, fine-grained tannins. Drink 2018–2027.
