Though the nose is a pretty combination of almond, meat and citrus, this Chard's steely, angular frame carries more than its share of buttered-toast flavors. Butter and wood punctuate the finish as well. Tasted twice, with consistent results. Imported by Freixenet USA. || Coonawarra's not known for Sauvignon Blanc, but this is a very good example.
