Duckhorn has an absolutely consistent track record with this bottling from St. Helena, and there's no way they're stopping now. The 2004 is riper and softer than its predecessors, but no less rewarding. It shows elaborately ripe black currant, cherry, chocolate, cedar and violet flavors, and is very well oaked, just oozing vanilla caramel. Drink now or soon.
