Dry and tannic, this Cab has flavors of cooked berries and cured tobacco. It's kind of old-fashioned. || Dry Creek Valley seems to coax a wild, feral quality from Sauvignon Blanc. Gooseberries, nettles, fresh green thyme and dandelion greens all give a rich earthiness to the usual citrus, fig and melon flavors. Acidity in this wine is high, too, giving it a crisp, clean mouthfeel. Very nice, at a great price. || Semi-sweet, with a sugary, Porty taste and, paradoxically, green, minty flavors and high acids.
