This opens with aromas of oak, espresso, mocha and plum. The firm palate offers oak extract, chocolate, licorice and black cherry alongside drying wood tannins. || Leather, forest floor and balsamic scents come together in the glass. The palate is still rather closed but offers dried black cherry, mocha, vanilla and a hint of espresso framed in bracing, tightly wound tannins.
