There's something Alexander Valley-esque in the soft complexity of the tannins, and the slight herbaceousness that accompanies the black currants, cured tobacco and grilled meat. It's also a classic Petite Syrah, with that variety's inky black color and impenetrable tannins and dryness. This wine surely wants until 2020 in the cellar.
