This is a silky-textured, medium-bodied Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with lifted red-berry fruit and grace notes of thyme blossom and bay leaf. It's a truly elegant style, with a supple, mouth-watering finish. Drink now–2018. || A bulky wine with an ample mix of cherry and chocolate flavors, this Gigondas is a big, fairly rich mouthful but is slightly lacking for nuance. Give it another year or two to see if more develops.
