The bouquet springs with red licorice, black cherry and blueberry, but also a hint of minty green. Not sharp but piquant on the tongue, with hints of cherry candy and grainy oak. Good on the surface but there's not a whole lot underneath. A solid quaff to match with burgers or pizza. || Gold in color, with good texture. Somewhat short on intensity, however, with ample oak, almond, apple and pear flavors. Weighty but not terribly expressive. Appropriate acidity, good with salmon and the like.
