With a smooth, silky texture, this Pinot has a certain appeal. The basic flavors are of ripe mashed cherries, Dr. Pepper, chocolate, anise and black pepper. One drawback is the texture, which is sharp, almost acetic. But then, it's a very young wine, and these things can resolve over time. Try sometime in 2010. || Very full bodied and rich, almost too much for a variety that wants some nuance.
