This eight-year-old blend of 68% Nebbiolo, 12% Sangiovese, 8% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc shows very reserved plum fruit on the nose alongside leather, dust, cedar and just-snapped pencil. The palate offers a complex array of roasted beef crust, stewed plums, Mission figs and roasting herbs like oregano.
