Although this blend of 75% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre and 10% Grenache spends 18 months in French oak, the outcome is surprisingly balanced and elegant, with gorgeous mineral notes to the bouquet alongside earthy spice, garrigue and ripe red berries. Everything transitions seamlessly to the smooth mouth, with a silky structure that provides a bit of grip to the close. Drink now through 2014.
