This well-priced Sangiovese (with a bit of Merlot for extra softness) opens with brambly notes of forest floor and white mushroom backed by cassis and blueberry. It's meant to be an informal, food-friendly wine and it certainly delivers the goods. || Rubizzo is a fantastic value wine that is simple and concrete but also bright, cheerful and fruit-forward.
