Abundantly oaky, this is a friendly, mouth-filling and broadly textured wine that comes off as soft and soothing. Sweet-seeming spicy oak and tobacco aromas lead to generous flavors of ripe cherry and raspberry rounded out by nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla. Concentration and layering raise it way above average.
