Made from Syrah, Grenache and a splash of Viognier, this wine is in a transitional state. The raspberry, cherry and blackberry fruit flavors are just turning the corner from primary to more aged bottle characteristics. Notes of mushrooms and beef carpaccio are beginning to emerge. You can drink it now, but it will be fascinating, if a little risky, to see what the wine does in five years.
