With pure black-fruit aromas, modest minerality and violet scents, the bouquet is right on target. In the mouth, this is saturated and wide, with smooth tannins. Earthy flavors of blackberry, licorice and baking spices finish solid and toasty. This fits the bill and then some; drink through 2018.
