Initially this smells oaky, pasty and lactic, but with time it opens to reveal blackberry and cassis aromas. The palate is lively and offers healthy acidic cut. Flavors of creamy berry, oak and plum end with a creamy feeling and lightly lactic tasting finish. Overall this is a polished wine with minimal varietal character.
