One of the drier Sangioveses of the year. It comes down firmly on the lean side, and while there are suggestions of black-cherry fruit in the aroma, in the mouth it;s distinctly acidic, lean and sharp. The struggle to interpret this variety in California continues, but this austere approach will not find favor with consumers.
