There is an appealing rusticity and a certain wildness about this wine. Hints of smoke and singed meat makes it visceral and unusual. Red fruit lurks here and there between the earthier notes and there also is a grip of firm, but unforced tannin. It's full of rugged, swarthy charm and secretive, intriguing depth.
