Stalky, sulfuric and oaky on the nose, then plump on the palate, this rosé from Valdeorras is made from Mencía, not one of Spain's normal rosé grapes. This tastes woody and like sawdust, with generic red-fruit flavors, sugary sweetness and vanilla on the finish.
