This medium-sized négociant is making an effort at upgrading its wines, and this is a solid example. Thyme and bay leaf notes mark the black cherry fruit, picking up hints of black tea that turn dusty and dry on the finish. A bit stern for the vintage, it should be consumed over the next couple of years before the fruit fades.
