Il Nonno is a very small-production blend of Sangiovese (59%), Cabernet Sauvignon (26%), Cabernet Franc (10%) and Petite Sirah (5%). It is remarkably black in color and a touch dull on the nose, made to be super Tuscan in style with blackberry and mushroom that perhaps went into hiding. The wine's bitter finish isn't great.
