Good as this wine is, it's very rustic nature. The tannins are hard and brittle, the acidity is high, and the wine veers between leaner tobacco notes and superripe currants. But its heart is pure cherry. Will age forever, without gaining complexity, so enjoy it now with your favorite pasta and tomato sauce, and plenty of grated cheese.
