Colombo is based in the northern Rhône, but ventured down to the south to make this wine, a blend of 45% Syrah, 35% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre. Leather, dark-skinned plums and mocha mark the palate, which is firmly tannic yet without much hidden richness. Drink it with rare meats over the short term.
