Ripe in cherry and chocolate fruit, with a slightly rustic mouthfeel of edgy tannins and an earthy, mushroomy quality, this Merlot has enough fanciness to accompany a nice leg of lamb or roast pork. || Tastes like a very good and properly varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, minus the depth of cassis, leaving ripe red and black cherries and oak. The wine is very soft, which suggests drinking now.
