There are few varietal Petit Verdots in Washington, and even fewer pure varietals such as this, which goes right to the front of the pack. The fruit is sweet, tangy, grapey and young, with plum and cassis filling out the midpalate. The acids are juicy and natural, and the tannins—often aggressive and herbal with this grape—are polished and smooth.
