The 2009 vintage was successful for Sausal's three new Zinfandels, and this intense, concentrated bottling shows how the cool weather managed to ripen the grapes, yet keep alcohol levels moderate. It's a big, powerful wine, packed with wild berry, cola, licorice, spice and sandalwood flavors that have a tang of the earth. || Old-vine straw, tobacco and herb in the nose.
