Made from Pommard and Martini clones planted in 1973, this wondrous wine shows black and white pepper, black slate, dried sage, rainy cement and touches of raspberry and blueberry on the nose. Pencil shavings hit the palate first, followed by rose petals and violets that open onto a sense of cherry-black olive compote over roasted pork. Expect more exotic spice and fruit to emerge 2018–2026.
